Dear Friends,
It is a pleasure to communicate with you and to share our work in the Lord.
My name is Juan Linero, and I was born in Veracruz, Mexico. In 1989 I moved to Matamoros from Nogales Sonora where I studied Industrial engineer and moved to look for a good job and there I found work in a manufacturing plant. Avery special day for me was in April of 1991 when I accepted the Lord into my heart. I began helping my pastor teach Sunday school or preaching at times. In that way passed nine year only working and attending church only Sunday not very compromise.
My wife's name is Veronica. She accepted the Lord when she was eleven years old and worked in the church as a children's Sunday school teacher.
We met when I visited her church in Matamoros. After a year of knowing each other as friends, we began dating and married nine months later. We have been married now for fifteen years our married anniversary is October 17th and have two beautiful children, Isaac who is fourteen year old and Priscila who is eight years old.
Veronica was working as an administrative assistance in an insurance company in Matamoros, but after Priscila was born, she worked only in the home. In April 1999, Veronica began working with Adventures In Missions, but it was only supposed to be for a month. Our ways are not the Lord's ways because she was working in that position for seven years!
The Lord was burning in me and I felt that I too needed to join in this work. I wanted to do something so I prayed and waiting on the Lord. In August 2000, we went to AIM's annual staff conference in Georgia. God spoke to our hearts and confirmed our feelings of wanting to work in full-time missionary service. I had good work and it was not very easy to think of letting it go but we wanted to do the Lord's work.
In March 2001, I finally gave up my secular work as an industrial engineer, and came to work full-time with Adventures In Missions. It was a very important decision in my life, but I know that the Lord is faithful. I am working as a Set-up Coordinator for AIM's short-term missions projects, I stared in Nuevo Laredo, Saltillo and Matamoros. This means that I am the liaison between the local church and the U.S. church, I coordinate the construction, Vacation Bible Schools, evangelism and ministry with the Mexican church and the prison and orphanage visits.
I like this work very much because at this time we can know many people and share the gospel and we can have contact with the Mexican pastors, and that was of the reason that I study Bible Seminary that I graduate in December 2006
Actually I am still do Set- up for: Mexicali BC, Tijuana, Mexico City, Matamoros, and Puerto Rico. Veronica is help me in some project specially in Matamoros and Mexicali
Is a wonderful help to me and know I can said that she is the woman that the Lord provide to me !pray God!
Also this year 2008 we begin to visited a hospital in Matamoros giving coffee and bread for the people are waiting in the emergencies area, is great ministry because we share the gospel and they are very able to accept the Lord as their savior, and we do this ones a week, pray for this ministry.
AIM's is an organization whose missionaries are supported 100% through faith support.
We are dependent on people who want to make a commitment to serve the Lord with us.
Thanks you for your time and attention that you have given to this letter. Our prayer is that God would bless you abundantly.
Sincerely in Lord's love
Priscila, Isaac, Veronica and Juan Linero
