September 2008

We continue our ministry every week at the hospital sharing coffee and food and of course the Word of God to the people that who are awaiting news from the doctors about their family members. In any visit that we do always people accept the Lord as their savior. Please continue praying about this ministry because some days is little hard to buy the food but God provides it. Sometimes we when we go to the hospital for this ministry we are very tired but when we get there God gives us the strength that we can enjoy the opportunity to serve.
Any mission trip when we go to visit and share about Jesus, the person were are speaking to has  always has been the most important. Through the work of God it is a very good opportunity that give us great pleasure. The souls come to Jesus, the people that we can help in their needs or the smiles that we can see when we share candy or food to children. In that moment, is when receive our reward from God. We feel happiness in our hearts.
Hurricane Dolly did a lot of damage in Matamoros. Many colonias were flooded, that was the reason many families left their homes and went to shelters.   A lot of roofs, posts, and trees fell down beacause of the strong winds. In the place were we live Ejido Timones 20 trees fell down. Thanks God because he protected us.

staring 2008

February - We worked with a group to do improvements on a house for one family in Matamoros.  We also we did a new restroom for them. We received many children in our Vacation Bible School.  One doctor come in this group and attended to many people.

March - Seven people came from Virginia to work in Matamoros together with two Mexican churches to build a house for one family.  The family has been attending where Juan and Veronica go to church.   We also received a great blessing because this same group worked to make improvements on our home.  Now our home looks beautiful and we are very happy with God.  We are very happy these brothers and sisters spent time with us working shoulder with shoulder "God bless these brothers and sisters".

Another group came from Alabama to built two houses in Matamoros.  Personally, I am very happy when we can help to provide homes for families in need through God's work.

This past Easter we had baptisms in our church.  One of Veronica's sisters and five other members of the church were baptized.  The family we built home for with the group from Virginia, all of the family was baptized - "Praise God!"

Please continue pray for the ministry in the hospital.  One day a week we share coffee, food and the gospel with people in the hospital emergency waiting room.  Every week we have people accepting the Lord as their Savior.

Prayer Request:

1.- Our car is passing water at the engine, we need $ 500.00 to fix it.  Pray for God to provide this money

2.- Isaac's Tuition  for school

3-  Our ministry with AIM, the summer is coming and we need to be ready.

Visiting Churches

We have had the opportunity to visit friends, churches and to meet new people so that we could share our ministry with Adventures In Missions.

July 21 - Cartersville Baptist Church in Georgia - We had a barbecue where we spent a wonderful time talking and sharing about our Amazing God.   After the lunch, we shared some songs and I spoke about the Great Commission and this importance in Missionary work.

July 22-24 - Knoxville, TN - We arrived to have a lunch with a group of friends in a park where they were having a fish fry. We enjoyed this time with our friends.   The next day one group of friends that I meet on a mission trip visited us and we had a great time together.

July 25-29 - Maryland & Virginia. We had the wonderful opportunity to visit friends in Maryland & Virginia. We talked about our ministry and personal things.  Like the other friends, they were very good to us and we appreciate this so much, "Praise God".

Sunday July 29th - We attended three services at Greenwich Presbyterian Church in Virginia. This was very special to us because we celebrated Christmas in July.   It was great because we could participate in three services.   After church we spent time sharing lunch in the church with many people. That night we shared dinner and dessert at one house of a friend and others from the church joined us.

We enjoyed this time in the U.S.   It is very sad to say goodbye.    It was hard to leave our friends but we know that we are close in prayer and in our hearts.

Thank you to all the brothers and sisters that spent time with us to show us the love that they have in the Lord.
